PROVIDING

ON GOING RESPITE SERVICES:
Planned respite provided for children diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbance to provide support to the parent of the child. The Respite would take place in the home or in the community.
It would typically occur during after-school hours or on the weekend.

CRISIS RESPITE SERVICES:
Short-term weekly respite for children and families experiencing a crisis or critical transition period. The Respite would take place in the child’s home or in the
community.
(2 hours per week during a crisis.)

EARLY INTERVENTION RESPITE:
Planned respite for children 0-3 years receiving Early Intervention Services in Albany County as identified in the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan.

ALTERNATE CRISIS SUPPORT:
*This is a crisis intervention program accessed via Albany County Mental Health, Mobile Crisis
(518-447-9650), CDPC Crisis Unit, Parson’s Child Guidance,
St. Catherine’s Center for Children or Families
United Network.
Immediate support from a Crisis Specialist for families experiencing acute crisis during evening or weekend hours. The Crisis Specialist would assist in calming the child, stabilizing the
situation, and assisting the family in developing a plan to manage future similar crisis.
